Top Movies of 2010!

As 2011 nears let’s take a moment and look back at the movies of 2010.  Keep in mind since I am not a “real” movie critic this list only includes movies that I have actually seen this year.  Yes, I admit, I did not get a chance to see them all.  But hey, that’s what the DVD platyer is for, right?

30.

The Other Guys

Someone has to be at the bottom of the list right?  Well, The Other Guys barely made that distinction.   Probably a must see for Will Ferrel fans, but this one wasn’t one of my favorites.

Secretariat

This film had a lot of good stuff in it.  The story is definitely one to share.  I must say they did pick the perfect horse.

Going the Distance

I like Drew Barrymore in movies but this one is better off as part of your DVD collection.

The Expendables

 

This was a fun movie even if it was a little off the cuff.

Morning Glory

Even Harrison Ford couldn’t get this one near the top this year.

Clash of the Titans

Great popcorn movie and sure to be a favorite for home viewing.

It’s Kind of a Funny Story

Yes it is.

The A-Team

Enjoyable re-make from the TV series by the same name. Comedy and action that made for an enjoyable couple of hours at the movies.

Conviction

Another noteworthy performance for Hilary Swank based on a true story.

Oceans (The Movie)

Great visuals and educationary but a little slow.  A must see though for the entire family.

Jonah Hex

In the top 20 this movie had a lot of things to enjoy. Beauty and the Beast go country if you will!

The Scorcerer’s Apprentice

Silly adventure but still a fun flick to see.

Prince of Persia

Not much publicity on this one, but there should have been.

The Fighter

Another good movie based on a true story.  Amy Adams plays admirably the love interest of “Irish” Mickey Ward.

The Losers

Action galore coupled with humor which equates to a not so serious my enjoyable adventure.

Kick Ass

This movie caught me by surprise and if you haven’t seen it I am sure it will you as well.  Not for the kiddies.

 Knight and Day

Big names and on screen chemistry make this movie one of my afternoon favorites.

Legandary

Little known film that contains some great performances.

Alice in Wonderland

3-D spectacular and a bizzare cast and story.

Captivating story and gift.

Get Him to the Greek

Outrageous comedy begins our top 10.

Megamind

One of the better animated films of the year.

Love & Other Drugs

Romantic comedy with a story to follow as well.  Good performances by all.

Toy Story 3

One of three animated films that made the top 10 this year.  A classic for sure.

Grown Ups.

 

Fun and silly comedy with a bunch of names you are familiar with.

Wall Street – Money Never Sleeps

Michael Douglas does an amazing job in this popular sequel.

The Karate Kid (2010)

A lot of comparisons to the original, but putting that aside this was a remarkable movie with celebrated performances by our stars.

Despicable Me

Heart touching and a great feel good movie worthy of a place near the top.

Music and vocals to impress everyone.

The Social Network

Controversial movie surrounding the story of the founder of “Facebook. ” The Social Network was a surprise but excellent nonetheless.

So there you have it! My Top 30 Movies for the year 2010!  They keyword there is “my,” as we all know it is ….
